Q6 |
: |
Why
does Feiron taste salty? |
A6 |
: |
Wakame
is a seaweed, a plant that grows in the sea.
As a result, wakame is naturally salty. Because
E. Excel only uses fresh, natural and wholesome
wakame in the manufacture of Feiron, the salty
taste of wakame is hence, imparted to Feiron.
|
|
|
|
Q7 |
: |
After
finishing the beverage, why does Feiron leave
behind tiny bits? |
A7 |
: |
The
tiny bits are actually the ABM mushroom bits,
and are perfectly natural and safe to consume.
|
|
|
|
Q8 |
: |
Why
is Feiron dark colored? |
A8 |
: |
E.
Excel only uses natural ingredients and does
not include any artificial coloring or flavoring
in its products. Hence, Feiron is dark colored
due to the inclusion and processing of three
of its ingredients: ABM mushroom, spinach and
wakame. Spinach is a dark green leafy vegetable
while wakame is a dark green seaweed. Together
with ABM mushroom, which is also darkly colored,
the three ingredients thus impart their coloring
to Feiron.

Q9 |
: |
Why
are green plants especially beneficial for health?
|
A9 |
: |
Green
plants contain chlorophyll, a substance that
allows plants to absorb light from the sun and
convert it into usable energy. Research has
shown that chlorophyll helps decrease damage
to genes’ DNA by protecting the body against
cancer-causing substances. Hence, a high intake
of green plants rich in chlorophyll may help
in the prevention and treatment of liver, colon
and skin cancer.

Can
Feiron be taken with other E. Excel products? |

|
Q11 |
: |
Can
Feiron be mixed with other E. Excel products?
|
A11 |
: |
You
can add Feiron together with Nutriact I to soups,
which will greatly enhance the taste and nutritional
value of the soup. However, as Feiron tastes
salty, mixing it with other E. Excel products
with a different or sweet taste may not be to
everyone’s liking.
Please take care when mixing Feiron with other
products, because while the nutrients in Feiron
can withstand heat, some E. Excel products (e.g.
Nutrifresh) should not be mixed with hot water
as it could result in the loss of nutrients.

|
Q12 |
: |
How
should Feiron be stored? Must it be refrigerated
once it is opened? |

|
|
|
Q13 |
: |
Is
Feiron suitable for pregnant women? |
A13 |
: |
Yes.
Calcium is essential for pregnant women to build
their babies’ bones. For breastfeeding mothers
with low bone density to begin with, bone loss
that occurs with lactation may put them at risk
of fracture. In addition, more iron is needed
for the production of red blood cells in both
the baby and mother. Feiron is high in iron
and calcium, besides containing an array of
nutrients and protective substances, which is
beneficial for pregnant women as well.

plant foods that are greatly beneficial to health.

Q15 |
: |
Feiron
contains sodium. Can people with high blood
pressure consume Feiron? |
A15 |
: |
Yes.
Sodium occurs naturally in some foods, even
vegetables. That is because our bodies need
a small amount of sodium to function properly.
Most of the sodium we consume comes from eating
processed foods, and high blood pressure arises
only when there is excess sodium in our diet.
Just one teaspoon of table salt has 2,325 mg
of sodium, and one tablespoon of soy sauce has
1,005 mg! In comparison, Feiron contains only
sodium from natural sources and one package
of Feiron has only 695 mg of sodium.

Q16 |
: |
Why
can’t vitamins/minerals in supplement form be
used as a substitute for a balanced diet? |
A16 |
: |
Most
of us assume that supplements contain the ideal
dose of vitamins/minerals as their labels usually
list the US Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA)
of vitamins and minerals. However, the RDA only
acts as a nutritional guideline. According to
nutritionists, it was developed to reverse nutrient
deficiency symptoms. So for the average person,
the RDA could represent values much higher than
the actual need.

Q17 |
: |
What
sets Feiron apart from other iron/calcium products
in the market? |
A17 |
: |
Feiron
is derived only from wholesome plant foods,
which are much superior to nutrients derived
from animal sources or supplements because firstly,
iron from plant foods is easily absorbed by
our bodies and acts as a safety net from excessive
intake.
Secondly, animal foods are high in animal protein,
which, experts believe, is the main culprit
of calcium loss. Plant foods, however, not only
supply significant amounts of calcium without
the calcium-robbing proteins found in animal
foods, but also host a wealth of protective
substances such as phytochemicals and antioxidants.
In addition, they have no cholesterol and are
low in fat.
